Lesson prices are quoted at the time of enquiry. Lesson prices are reviewed at least annually, and a minimum of 1 month notice will be provided if lesson prices change. A deposit is required if you wish to receive training from us, and will be held until your last lesson, or pass your driving test. If you are completing the practical driving test in the instructor’s car, then the deposit will be used as payment for the instructor and car hire. Payment must be made at the start of your lesson. Block booking payments are required before or at the start of your first lesson. Refunds will be made directly to the bill payer's bank account via bank transfer, after all used lessons have been paid.
All lessons must be made and confirmed directly with your instructor. Where possible, book in advance so your instructor can accommodate your availability as best as possible. Your instructor will make every effort to be accommodating, but please note that 20 other students may have booked in advance. Lesson pick-up and drop-off locations must be agreed at the time of booking. Change in location pick-up and drop-off may cause your instructor to be late, or disrupt the lesson after yours. Such changes may result in you receiving a shorter lesson, but charged for the full agreed lesson time. Lessons can only be made if the student holds an appropriate licence. The student must immediately inform their instructor if they receive any endorsements on their licence throughout their training. Any endorsements and fines occurred whilst driving on lessons must be paid and accepted by the student.
A minimum of 48 hours notice must be given in order to cancel your lesson. Failure to do so, will result in the full lesson fee being charged. Consistently cancelling within 48 hours may lead to you instructor asking for booked lessons to be paid in advance. Excessive cancelations of lessons, regardless of notice, and long periods in-between lessons are unacceptable; and may result in the driving school withdrawing their services as your driving training provider.
If you do not show up to your lesson, at the agreed date, time and location, your instructor will make another attempt of contacting you after 10 minuets. If there is still no response, your instructor will make a further attempt at 15 minuets. If no response is made, your instructor reserves the right to leave; and the lesson will be classed as a 'NO SHOW' and the lesson will be charged in full.
It is the student's responsibility to book and pay for their driving test. You should consult with your driving instructor regarding an agreed driving test booking. Booking a driving test without consulting your instructor first may lead to you having to change the date or time, as your instructor may not be available. On the day of your test, you are required to pay a minimum of 2 hours. This is for the use of the instructor's car and time. This is when your deposit will be used as payment. All lessons prior to your test must be paid in full. Failure to do so may result in your instructor withdrawing use of their car for test.
Your instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of their car at any time. Such actions may be made by your instructor if any of the following apply:
Lesson and test bookings are only accepted on the basis that GET YOUR LICENCE will not be liable for any costs, expenses, claims or losses caused from the refusal of their vehicle.
Your instructor will provide a welcoming and professional environment for driving training. If you have any concerns regarding your instructor, please inform your instructor, or owner of GET YOUR LICENCE immediately. If you feel like you can not approach these people, then please ask a family member or friend to. If you still feel like you are unable to resolve an issue with your instructor or the company, then please contact the DVSA or police as you see fit..
You instructor reserves the right to cancel or postpone lessons at anytime due to mechanical failures, illness or any other difficulties outside of their control. In such events, the student will not be charged at all for the cancelation. If this happens on the day of your driving test, your instructor must pay for a replacement test for the student.
